Cargo Condition Survey is usually instructed by ship’s owner, charterer or cargo owner, surveying the cargo condition before loading including scratch, dent, rust stained,packing condition, label condition etc. Then recording above condition actually in remark or cargo condition report as evidence once any cargo damage accident occur.

There are some infrequent cargo condition survey nominated by cargo receiver. Due to far distance from loading port or factory, they could not inspect whether the cargo are accord with their requirement, therefore, they choose a local survey company to inspect the cargo condition in storage yard or factory. Surveyor feed back survey report reflecting cargo’s actual condition as soon as possible. Cargo receiver decide continuing the sale contract or not or any changes & repairement according report.
