Instructed by ship’s owner, charterer, cargo owner, cargo receiver and other benefit parties, surveyor inspect cargo condition before loading on storage yard, especially to steel cargos, heavy and lengthy cargos and some valuable cargos. Subsequently assess whether the cargo are suitable to be transportation by vessel, assess whether the lifting method, dunnage & lashing method is safe & proper, besides provide adjust advice. In this way, reduce the risk of cargo damage during transportation or loading. On arrival at destination port, surveyor attend onboard to inspect the cargo condition and record. Then super vise the discharging operation and ask stevedores to adjust improper or risky operation into the proper manner to prevent cargo damage.
